  1. EXTRA PACKINGS

    a pepper spray

    a dagger

    a bullet proof vest

and a shotgun and some extra ammo..lll

  2. Don't walk around with money, expensive watch or so.

Compare exchange rates, when you are there and want to exchange money.

  3. sunglasses. I have forgotten mine before. I also take little token gifts to give away such as books, crayons things like that for little kids. Also bath and body works products are much appreciated for your housekeepers. Aspirin is also a good thing to take for gifts along with basic first aid products. They are very expensive on the island.

  4. some rolling paper

    big rasta hat

    ok seriously though:

    flip flops

    sun glasses

leave your fancy watch and jewelery behind

    hat for the sun

  5. if you are staying at an all inclusive - dont bring money for tips -they dont accept them - dont bring anything heavier than a tee shirt and maybe some light cotton pants.

  6. Grab a money converter cheat sheet http://www.oanda.com/convert/cheatsheet .

Also do go off the resort. Like any city keep your wits about you, but please go out and actually see where you are visiting. Many people are put off by the various vendors. A firm "no thank you " should suffice in most cases. Just keep walking if you aren't interested.. Jamaica is a very poor country, for the most part, so people are just trying to make a living.

If you are staying in Negril check out

Try new foods, fruits and drinks. Go relax. Say hello with a smile to everyone, and talk to the people of Jamaica.

Do find out where good places to eat and relax are..

    Do go on some excursions.

Do try to make the absolute best of everything..

    Do bring:

-insulated travel mug, keeps drinks colder longer.

    -Sunscreen 30 spf at least

    -Bug spray

    -small bills

    -light weight clothing

-water shoes if you are doing the falls

-Patience, Island time is not a joke. Food is fresh, not sitting under a heat lamp or pre -made so enjoy the time given to prepare your food.

-a waterproof bag is great to stash stuff in if storms roll thru in the afternoon.

-small first aid kit. Boo boo's, hangovers, and spicy food can happen, prepare. Also benadryl is great for big bites.

-Under water camera's are great for snorkeling or if you are caught in those afternoon storms.

-Do bring your common sense, meaning don't walk at night alone while drunk, keep your money secure in a safe or front pocket, etc..

    Good Luck!

  7. If you smoke (cigs) you might want a few packs prior. I could not find newports until I was getting back on the plane to leave at the airport. Advil..."all inclusive hangovers"....pepto/tums "spicy foods' and travel light....you will be amazed how laid back it is there. I totally over packed and ended up lugging all that stuff for nothing....YOU WILL LOVE IT

  8. You plan to tip with $1.00, do you want your food to get spit in?

  9. a couple good books or magazines for the beach? asprin/allergy meds. Have a great trip.

  10. batteries??

    for tourch, camera etc?

    hat?

  11. passport? is it needed? tummy meds in case u get sick. contacts at home for when arriving back.
