Not being able to come up with names for characters is the least of your problems, if you want to write a believable story. No 14 year old has the mental capabilities to pull off the many things a serial killer needs to do to not get caught after one murder (a prerequisite to becoming a serial murderer).  It requires not only stalking a victim unnoticed to learn their habits, but careful planning, execution, disposing of the body, making a successful exit and not leaving forensic evidence.  A 14 year old can definitely be psychopathic enough, but not skilled enough.

I've had a lot of experience coaching young writers, and can tell, by both the girl and boy being the same age, that there is a high probability of this being a romance, with the girl 'saving' the poor, misunderstood killer.  It doesn't work that way in the real world, and you want your readers to believe that what you write about can actually happen.  Even if love did soothe the soul of the savage beast and get him to stop killing, he's still a killer and has to pay for what he did.  That, in itself, wouldn't necessarily be a terrible storyline - with a guy who's, say, no younger than his mid-20s.  Not 14, though.
