  1. There seem to be a lot of "independents" who are unfairly attacking Palin. Too cowardly to say who you really support?

  2. You have misquoted her.  She is a hockey mom.

That is a whole 'nother kind of mom.

Any Black person who does not vote for Obama is a traitor to his race.

Any White person who does not vote for Obama is prejudices.

    Democrats offer welfare

    Republicans offer warfare

    Democrats offer higher taxes

    Republicans offer deficit spending

  3. to show that she can balance both a career and being a mom, which is incredibly respectable in my opinion. and b/c she's unknown. i mean who isn't tired of hearing the names obama and mccain? i'm tired of hearing about them. people don't know here and she's a woman. the buzz on her is going up now. and even if the GOP doesn't win this election they're bringing her into the spotlight. and it's a first for the GOP to have a woman on the ticket. she's pretty (not that it matters) and seems to have a good head on her shoulders. she's conservative which is what mccain wanted to appeal to b/c he's considered a moderate/liberal republican despite his religious background. she also cleaned up all that c**p in alaska that her own party messed up. that takes some courage to do. and the issue of her experience... obama's experience is???? he hasn't been in politics for to long so i dunno why he's blowing the whistle... and b/c palin hasn't been in politics for too long wouldn't thaaat indicate that she's not as corrupted??? just my thoughts....

  4. Basically McCain wants to make and be part of history, she's younger than his own kids!

  5. i thought she was a moose eating hockey mom

  6. Because she's female.

  7. It's simple: democrats are good, republicans are evil.  (I mean, we're a democratic society, doesn't that kind of tell you something?)

  8. Hockey mom, not soccer mom. That you messed up that fact suggests that you are not paying attention.

And, you misrepresented the facts. Palin went on to say that she acted as a committed citizen and that that committment and engaged citizenship drew her into political service.

She is not, unlike Barack Obama, someone who suffers from a Messiah complex. She is merely a committed citizen who had the highest approval rating of her voters in Alaska -- 80% approval as governor.

  9. And with a 4 month old in the White House.

Imagine... It's 3 am... the phone rings... Hi, this is President Palin, I can't come to the phone right now, I'm breastfeeding, I'll get right back to you.

  10. She's the PERFECT choice for VP because of those very reasons.  What a breath of fresh air.  I'm thinking 4 years down the road when she wins President for the next 8 years... thats REALLY gonna make the Dems see red LOL.  Too bad they don't have any hotties for their VP ticket.

  11. To reframe her statement Sarah said she always thought she would end up being a soccer mom just like millions of other women. She had no aspirations to be in politics and only ran for city council at the urging of others.  Once involved she became apalled at the waste and corruption that took place even within her city government and she vowed then and there to fight for the rights of the citizens and put a stop to the good ole boy network.  And now its a fight she is poised to take to the very steps of Washington DC.

  12. For one reason and one reason alone.  She's a woman.

She can be used.  And she will have no say in McCain's administration should they win.

She calls herself a maverick.  He calls himself a maverick.  Do you honestly think two mavericks can work together?  NOT!

And based on McCain's voting record in the Senate, he has been voting against women all of his time there.  He doesn't even believe that they should get equal pay for equal work.

Now all of a sudden he as done a 360 degree turnaround?  I don't think so.

He doesn't even know her.  He met her 6 months ago.  He's only met in her person 3 times, and one of those times was when he was announcing her as his VP choice.

  13. All Washington wanted to be was a farmer and be involved in the community. But he lead the troops and became our first president. She was a Hockey mom, not a soccer mom.

Many women have been homemakers and decided to do more.

Nothing is wrong with being a stay at home mom, but many of them will get involved in some other form. Den mothers, coaches and yes the PTA.

That can open your eyes to how wasteful government can be.

  14. she has hardly any experience . . . i agree

  15. Because she will appeal to independent, white, suburban soccer moms. They are a key voting block who will relate to her because she is one of them. That will play well in key swing states such as Pennsylvania and Ohio.

  16. I think they really needed someone who has admitted to abusing power. They want an Oligarchy. She fits what a bunch of crooks are looking for she will be useless. Once that baby starts waking up from napping all day is she going to be involved with her child or not. Family values means spending time with family. She has no vision & talks like a barbies doll would talk. It just doesn't matter to people brainswashed by fox news.

  17. I guess that's an admission that she knows, if elected, she won't be doing much except waving, being pretty, and proposing uncontstitutional laws.

  18. she is a hockey mom. not soccer mom

  19. One of the most successful Prime Ministers of Great Britain in modern times, and the first woman to do so, Margaret Thatcher, said, "Any woman who understands the problems of running a home will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a country."

Palin started out at the PTA, saw the problems in her own community and ran for City Council.  Then Mayor to clean up the problems there.

She got appointed to the very important State board that oversees the Oil and Gas industry in Alaska and ran the crooks out.

While working at the State level, she saw what was happening so she decided to keep going.

Palin ran against a three-term powerful incumbent Governor in the primary and knocked him off. Wow!  Then she beat her opponent in the general election.  He was an extremely powerful former governor but the people had come to believe in her because she had gotten such a strong reputation as a reformer who got the job done on behalf of the people of Alaska.

There are a lot of women who get started in politics this way.  Like Nancy Pelosi.  Hillary Clinton had never run for office until she ran for Senate and everybody yelled about that.  Look where they are!

Women get involved because they see what's wrong at the grassroots level.

Men don't notice the way women do.  Sorry if that sounds sexist but it's true.

God bless them, they try, but Margaret Thatcher was right.

Look to women to clean up after the guys and hold them accountable.

That's what Palin did in Alaska.

That's why 80% of the State is cheering her.

One of the newspapers in Alaska says she has done in 2 years what the governor before her hadn't done in 12 years.

    That's why she'll be a great VP.

  20. Because John McCain said something like, "Governor Palin, your country needs you" - a chance to make history - a chance to make a difference.
