Last night was quite stressful.....

The dream started out that I was in rough part of a city and there were all these weird symbols and pictures graffiti'd on the walls. I could hear conversations of people with mixed opinions of the paintings, and a child said that no one knew who painted them... I turned into an alley and i started painting, and it turned out it was me, i spray painted a wall using my whole arm as a stencil or something, the paint was speckled and glittery... Then a group of youths turned into the alley...

I knew i had to keep my identity hidden so i managed to climb onto a fence but they spotted me and the dream suddenly became very hostile. Although I was performing impressive jumps and impossible feats to elude my assailants, they were always one step behind..... After trying my hardest, jumping between rooftops for what seemed forever, i had to wake myself up...

Distressing.

  1. Your stressed. You're Hiding, and you're running.

Calm yourself and face what you are running from.

  2. cool dream. I have dreams where i am in a situation where i am either running from people who are trying to hurt me or fighting them.

I'm not 100% sure what it all means, but i guess it is maybe a lack of excitement in your real life. Maybe you are paranoid about people's perception about you.

Also, if you have been thinking about something that you have fear of doing (e.g. standing up to a bully or whatever) then your dreams interpret the fear as people trying to get you and instead of fighting, you are running away...

    hope this helps.

  3. The dream is stress related without a doubt.  The stress you felt is a manifestation of what is bottled up somewhere in your subconscious mind, even if exaggerated.

Dreams do exaggerate - it is the mind's way of forcing something to your attention to be understood and dealt with when it happens.  Of course some are just random and mean little if anything.  But, this one has distinctive elements of stress involving your dawning awareness of something you yourself are doing, then a deliberate mind-set to continue the act and evasion.  That suggests a real 'thing' in your life that is driving this - even if it is not a huge deal.

The setting of a rough place and the graffiti suggests 'gang' presence and activity - that is a well known theme in our country and elsewhere.  Unless you are in a gang (that's not indicated) you are simply using a societal fact to project this.  But whatever drives this is somehow parallel to the concept: something done behind the scenes with results of which are visible to others.

Of course the 'mixed emotions' means some of those who observe the results see 'art', others perhaps outrage at the 'defacing' of the area, and then animosity from others.  Those who are hostile finally pursue you when they realize who is doing this thing.  Your super-human feats are 'normal' in the dream world - again, things are easily exaggerated, but the reason may well be to add heat to the message: you must MOVE to stay ahead of being found out and caught at this thing.

And, you awaken at the crucial moment of exhaustion - a normal thing when dreams reach the point of brutal end.  As you mention 'had to wake myself up' you may have been having a semi-lucid dream, certainly so at least by the time the running part got close to ending.

So, why all this?  What it suggested is that you have things inside you to express but realize there will be, or are, mixed reactions to much of it.  That may range from friendly to hostile as you sense it, and you may have reservations.  'Painting' in the way you mention is putting that information up, as if a manifesto of sorts.  There's much to tell - and many to tell it too.

To remain 'safe' you must do so as if the rebel fomenting a radical change of some sort - change that you sense will make you a target.  But 'tell it' you must, and so you do - only to be hounded.  Your herculean escape efforts likely reflect the level of anxiety you hold deep down inside in this matter; the near-success of your pursuers like-wise probably indicates how you believe they would feel - just as anxious to stop your efforts.

What could this relate to?  It could easily be thoughts of needed change in society or academia - there are so many issues on people's minds today almost anything is possible.  What stands out in your case is that you appear to hold something inside that you feel is important to us all, but something for which a few would take you down for telling.  Think that over - does it relate to anything going on in your mind about life around you?

Only you can tell how any of this might really relate, but it is suggested by the theme you describe.  Had you been a gang type there would have been no mystery here, and likely no dream at all - certainly no distress in your mind for having dreamt thus.  It is something else - and again, while possibly, it seems too graphically themed to be dismissed as 'random'.

Hopefully some of these observations will help a bit so that you can clarify what the thing may be that nags deep in your subconsciousness and deal with it.  Perhaps an anonymous 'manifesto' is even called for just to get something out there and off your chest to relieve the feelings.  What you don't need is repeats if this dream is distressing, so consider these things.

    All the best to you.

  4. I dreamt my ex-girlfriend kept trying to buy a guitar and got really upset at me because she couldn't afford one.

I also had a small dream about trying to get into the loft of a very bleak shed. Someone I didn't recognise was with me and kept telling me to hurry up.

    No sense whatsoever!

  5. not to be mean but just putting up wat u dreampt about is a waste of time and life. blog? then it would be fine but typin it  on yahoo answers?

  6. Feel like there's information locked in your mind that could bring you great harm if people knew?  I had the same situation a few years ago.  There is, but there's no reason to let anyone know.  This information is for you only.  It is deep information that you will only decipher in time.  The symbols may become clearer in susequent dreams, or they may never.  It is important though, to keep these things (probably about yourself) to yourself for the time being.   There are some things that happen to folks that just can't be explained, and may make that person sound a little nutty, even if they're as sane as you and I.  That is why you had to hide your identity in the dream.  Don't worry, though...the people chasing me in my dreams never caught up with me in real life...and If you keep things to yourself at least for now...yours won't catch you either.

    Blessed Be
