Last night at 3 am I awoke to a staticy loud noise with a lot of different voices....?

Question

It was only my friend who was beside me and myself in the house. This is a medium sized old house. The "noise" lasted for a bout 10 minutes. Like I said ALL staticy with woman and man voices coming out. Sorta distorted. I wasn't dreaming this because I woke my friend up too and he heard the same noise. What could of this been? Please explain. This was his house and he had never heard this before. Please dont laugh but I tend to see more things then most people do. Such as spirits maybe.

it could have been a radio alarm clock that went off. of if you are into all that paranormal stuff then i would say that it was something trying to conact you maybe.  something might be wrong.

some of us have a light, like a beacon, and those spirits of the departed see this from their vantage point.  when they do, it is my experience that they line up to be heard.

I awoke every night for two years in a house I rented at 3 a.m. When I went away somewhere for the night, and after I moved, my sleep habits went back to normal. perhaps he has never heard it because he is a heavy sleeper and you just happen to be there to awaken him for the first time while this was happening. I HATE 3 A.M.

That is a good description of what I hear when I' m getting spirit voices.  It's called clairaudience.  The static sound is more like bees buzzing for me, but some times in a haunted I hear that the whole time I am there.  The static noise  is other voices that aren't making the right sound, like they can't figure out how to make them the right sounds.  The hard part is pulling out the words from the background noise.  You might want to set up a recorder before you go to bed and see if you get anything.  You can down load Audacity, a free software program and use it to record onto your computer and run it all night.

I think your experience is not quite reliable enough yet to draw any conclusions. Dreaming is still a possibility, since you may be dreaming that you woke up and your friend heard it too, or perhaps if you woke up your friend and told him/her about it, they misremembered in the morning whether they heard it or not.

As any skeptic would, I'm going to stick with my usual here and advocate investigation. Can you set up a recorder to tape during the night? Some of the new digital voice recorders can record for 8 hours or more at a time. Place it in a safe place but as close to you as possible as you're sleeping. If you have the experience again but the recorder doesn't pick it up, you have some confirmation to support the conclusion that you were dreaming. But if it is on the recorder, now you've got some real data and you can move forward with trying to find the physical cause.

So why did these spirits choose to make a sound that was exactly like that from a radio then?

Maybe  a truck or a cop car close to your house with a loud two way radio.

Things may sound a bit creepy at night but you have described the sound that comes from some sort of electronic equipment and there is no reason to think it is anything else.

Oh sorry, while it is obvious to blind Freddy that it is in fact a radio or TV or perhaps even a mobile phone, let me try again and write the answer that you obviously want to hear no matter how illogical or wrong it is!

OMG! That definitely sounds like it could be spirits! And the fact that your friend heard it too means thats there's no way you could be imagining it! If it's an old house lots of people would have lived there in the past - maybe it is a psychic echo of their lives, or perhaps they have died and there souls are trapped in conflict there!

You should get a Ouija board and find out what the truth is - be careful not to unleash a demon though - or the house will be filled with evil!
