I read on here that this can occur if the cat vomits up worms? But I don't think so.. I woulda heard or saw vomiting. It was like a brown, segmented mealy worm looking thing.. what was it? I feel bad telling her.

What if I'm wrong and she spends money on a vet bill? The first thing I thought was that it had eaten a bug.. but then I learned more about worms. I set it down and when it shook its head it was gone.

Is it whipworm or???? I'm grossed out and scared (for my new roomate's cat. .what if there's eggs on my stuff.. or for her other cat?)

  1. Best thing to do is first look online to see pictures of any of the kind of wormes the cat could get. Usually worms don't come from the nose but it is possible. My cat has had roundworms before without me even knowing it so it is best to tell her anyways so she can get it into the vet. My vet was less than $50, treatment and all so don't worry about money. It would be a lot worse to know that the cat did have something and could possibly die from something that wasn't treated.

    Hope I helped.

  2. It's very possible that the cat has worms and you wouldn't necessarily have heard it vomiting.

I would definitely tell your roommate.  She needs to get it to a vet.

You may feel bad telling her, but imagine how bad you'd feel telling her the cat died...
