Last season my draft was re-scheduled at the last minute because someone dropped. How do I prevent this?

I had a draft party for my work, where I have been the fantasy football commish for about 6 years. We entered the draft, and all of a sudden it kicked us all out - and said "The draft has been re-scheduled". We found out later that a team had removed itself (our league going from 14 teams to 13 teams). It was REALLY dissapointing. how do I avoid this? Lock the teams when we reach 14?

Not sure how that could have happened to be honest.  Once the draft starts (at least on Yahoo)...a manager is unable to delete his team.  

I doubt that would happen again though.  I have played in probably 75 leagues and have never ever seen that happen.

If it is a head to head league, Yahoo! will always reschedule the draft if there is an odd number of teams (i.e. in your case, 13). It only allows you to draft with an even number of teams in a H2H league.
