Last session results - German World Championship Trials
In the last session on day six of the German World Championship Trials, Helge Meeuw, Christian Kubusch, Jenny Mensing, Sina Sutter and Isabelle Harle blazed in their respective swimming events at Berlin, Germany, on June 5.
In the Men’s 100m back-stroke final, Helge Meeuw took home the golden crown with a victorious time of 53.47 seconds. With his stunning performance in the 100m back-stroke final, Meeuw was very pleased with himself. Placed second in the corresponding meet
was Marco Di Carli with a time of 54.43 seconds and Jan Philip Glania rounded out the top three in 55.10 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Men’s 800m freestyle title was taken over by Christian Kubusch with a winning time of 7 minutes and 55.43 seconds. Martin Grodzki hit the wall in 7 minutes and 59.54 seconds and Jan Wolfgarten snared bronze in 7 minutes and 59.91 seconds. 
On the other hand, the Women’s 100m back-stroke crown was snagged by Jenny Mensing with a fastest time of 1 minute and 00.78 seconds, while Lisa Graf finished second in 1 minute and 02.84 seconds. Isabell Fischer hit the wall in 1 minute and 03.28 seconds
for third place honours.
In another fine looking performance, Sina Sutter of Germany clinched the Women’s 100m butterfly title with a fastest time of 59.01 seconds. In the meantime, Theresa Michalak ripped off a 59.73 seconds effort for silver and Alexandra Wenk finished with bronze
medal in a time of 59.99 seconds.
In the Women’s 200m breast-stroke final, Caroline Ruhnau edged out Sarah Poewe in a neck and neck battle with a scorching time of 2 minutes and 27.60 seconds. Poewe captured silver with a time of 2 minutes and 27.61 seconds and Sibylle Dalacker secured bronze
medal in the respective meet with a time of 2 minutes and 30.48 seconds.
Last, but not the least, the Women’s 400m freestyle title was nabbed by Isabelle Harle with a victorious time of 4 minutes and 12.81 seconds. Silke Lippok took silver with a time of 4 minutes and 14.09 seconds, while Franziska Jansen won bronze medal with
a time of 4 minutes and 14.96 seconds.
