or so we thought, i have done some research trying to figure out what that was. At first I thought it may be Jupiter or Venus but it was way too bright. Originally we thought that it was a plane, but we stood there for over 20 minutes and it never moved. I know this sounds a bit crazy but it has been bothering me the whole year!!! If anybody has any idea PLEASE help! I believe the date was roughly Aug. 13

  1. it was a UFO

  2. This might be associated with the Perseid meteor shower that occurs in mid-August.

  3. it could have been venus

  4. the star Sirius.

  5. its a ghost...

  6. On August 13th 2007, Venus was too close to the Sun to be visible. Jupiter was roughly where it is this year, namely low in the south (assuming you're in the northern hemisphere). If you're sure it wasn't Jupiter, then I can't think of any celestial object that might fit the bill. Meteors and satellites don't stay in the same place for 20 minutes. I can only suggest some man-made object such as a plane or helicopter.
