Lastname EXTENY???

Question

i am trying to find out where is this lastname from, and what it means?

please if you know anything please tell me.

ps: thats my grandmother lastname

You can come back and edit your question, to add info..

You cannot post info on someone living, and it is not clear if grandma is alive.  If she is.. what you need to post are the NAMES and approx location for her parents.

If the parents were born before 1930, they should be findable in the census records.  Unless you don't live in the US, of course.

Looking at the birthplace for the person (or parents) is what will tell you where they come from.  It might be that the name is not spelled correctly in the census, which means it would not show up.  If we have first names and a place..we can normally get around that.

Are you sure this is spelled correctly?  I find nothing on Ancestry.com.
