Laszlo Cseh dominated the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) event to secure the gold medal on day two of the 2011 Mare Nostrum Series in Monaco.
Monaco is the fourth stop of the Series, which is an international swimming event that provides international swimmers with a chance to compete in their respective events.
Cseh of Hungary won the gold medal in a wonderful time of 4 minutes and 13.27 seconds. He was followed by Killian Bossard of Switzerland, who touched the wall in a remarkable time of 4 minutes and 29.61 seconds for the silver medal. They were followed by
Quentin Coton of CN Antibes, who appeared on the podium for the bronze medal, by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 32.42 seconds.
Hungarian swimmer, Cseh, is the three-time silver medallist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He won the medals in the events of the 200m butterfly, 400m IM and the 200m IM in the Men’s category. He won the gold medal of the IM events behind legendary American
swimmer, Michael Phelps.
The 25-year-old Cseh became prominent for the gold medal from the very start of the race, where he gained a comfortable lead over his competitors. The young swimmer displayed his expertise in the 400m IM event throughout the race.
The podium finishers were followed by Anton Sveinn Mckee of Iceland, who touched the wall in the fourth fastest place with a timing of4 minutes and 33.12 seconds. Youghourta Haddad of Algeria followed them on the finishing wall for the fifth fastest spot,
posting a time of 4 minutes and 39. 30 seconds. Pierre Henri and Abdelghani Nefsi followed him on the finishing wall as the sixth and seventh fastest swimmers, with timings of 4:44.68 and 4:47.69 minutes, respectively. The final spot of the event was secured
by Ruka Shimizu, who touched the wall for the eighth position in 5 minutes and 13.05 seconds.
The session concluded after the finals of all the scheduled swimming events, while the winners were awarded medals for their astounding efforts.
