It might be from before the late 1980s since it was on a VHS but it was a series of short stories revolving around huge blue people (heads were shaped sorta like C3PO from star wars, now that I think about it). They lived in a strange world where humans were cave people and about the size of a big toe compared to the giants. There were also strange plants and the whole feel was artistic and mature more than anything else. One scene I remember is two giants are attacked by a swarm of people who repeatedly stick one of the giants with harpoons the size of toothpicks and bring one of them down. When the other giant returns with help, they find the first dead with small spears still stuck in him. I think it was called T-Bug or D-Bug or something along those lines but I just can't find anything on the internet about it. Anyone know what it was really called or at least how I can find it?

  1. You must be thinking about Fantastic Planet from 1973, designed by the great French Illustrator Roland Topor and based on the novel Oms et Serie by Stefan Wul -- an author worth reading whether in translation or not.
