Late Arrival in High School?

I want to have late start for my senior year. Late arrival is just instead of starting school during 1st period I will start 3rd period for both 1st and 2nd semester. Do colleges/universities frown upon this?

  1. Colleges like to see you apply yourself as much as possible, even if that means taking some classes that you don't particularly need/are interested in to fill in those 2 free morning periods

  2. Dont think they will care at all... As long as you get good grades...

  3. They don't care what time you start school...they just care about your grades

  4. Colleges may not even know that you have chosen to do this. Most likely you will be sending them your transcripts and that simply stated the classes that you have taken and the grades you received...not what your daily schedule looked like.

Even if the college you are applying to did know that you chose to take advantage of late arrival senior year I doubt that would have any effect on your admittance. As long as you do well in the classes you are taking they have no reason to penalize you for opting for the late start.

There are many reasons people choose to take late start (or early release) It is very common these days and I have never heard of is affecting anyones admittance to college.

  5. no it's fine.
