http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kenneth-Frank-Barrington-c70837, the former English batsman, has been inducted in International Cricket Council's Hall of Fame in recognition of his memorable services for Test cricket. The legend has been awarded this honour after 30 years of his death.
The formal induction ceremony held yesterday, August 19, during the team break in the 4th and final npower Test match between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-James-Stewart-c75994, received the commemorative
cap on behalf of him.
Talking to the media after the ceremony, Edrich said, “It is a great honour to be receiving Ken's cap on his behalf. He was a fantastic team-mate and a great man and is thoroughly deserving of this award and recognition he is receiving today from the ICC
and FICA.”

regard.
Born on November 24, 1930, in Berkshire, Barrington played 82 Test, 533 First-Class and 14 List A games before retiring in 1968. He made his Test debut in June 1955 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, and played his last Test in July 1968 against
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, at Leeds.
Barrington was the first English batsman to score a ton on each of the six traditional Test grounds of England including Edgbaston, Headingley, Lord’s Trent Bridge, Old Trafford and The Oval, which was his home ground.
Overall, he piled up 6806 Test runs with the help of 20 centuries and 35 fifties. His highest Test innings was of 256 runs.
Apart from being a composed and calculated batsman, Barrington was also a quality leg-spinner. He had 29 Test and 273 First-Class wickets to his name.
Barrington is the 65th player to be inducted in the Hall of Fame, which was established on January 2, 2009, as a joint venture of the ICC and FICA. English cricketers dominate the hall as only ten inductees belong to other cricketing nations.
