Late lunch or early evening dinner - London restaurant?

Where can I go for a really long late lunch or early evening dinner that will go on and on..... I am meeting an old friend and we just want to talk and talk and eat and drinks lots! Price no object...

London is heaving with restaurants - finding one should not be a problem!  However, the smarter the place, the more likely it is that they will have a table turnign policy and you will have to leave after two hours or so, so my advice is to go somewhere that is not astronomically famous or expensive.  St John (http://www.stjohnrestaurant.com/reservat... near Farringdon serves interesting British classics and it's open from 6-11pm, so presumably you could linger?  Or Vinoteca across the road (http://www.vinoteca.co.uk/) has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and loads of wine by the glass, so you could try lots of wines while enjoying their yummy and reasonably priced food.

Well i find any wetherspoon pub good they are a reasonable price for both food and drink and the food is good

Can highly recommend Bertorelli in Floral Street covent Garden.  Really nice place to drink and eat.  You are also then close to loads of bars should you need a change of senery!

Yo Sushi or Wagamamas....actually you should be able to go pretty much anywhere
