Question:

Late payment of a Fixed Penalty Notice?

I recently recieved some mail from an ex housemate, (i moved out around December) and one of the letters was a letter from the court stating that i had not paid my fixed penalty charge of £120.

I honestly completely forgot about it and i'm totally worried about what the consequences of this may be. The Fixed Penalty Notice was issued in November and the letter from the court was from March.

Does anyone know what might happen here?

Thanks

  1. They will top the fine up,but explain about your housemate,Good Luck

  2. You will be summonsed to court, however the summons will probably go to your old address.

You need to ring the court in the jurisdiction of the original offence or the police station where the officer is from.

If you don't then as you wouldn't know when to attend court a warrant will be issued for your arrest.

For the late payment you will probably get a bit more in fines.

  3. ring them asap and explain
