Question:

Late period? Didn't Ovulate?

As far as I know this month I did not Ovulate at all... I don't use a very effective way to check as I only check via my Calender and CM.

My periods are always exactly 29 days apart and I was expecting my period yesterday and still haven't had it and over the past week I had no usual signs that it was coming either as I usually get cramps and tender b*****s which I've had none of.

Because I didn't Ovulate does this mean I will skip a period for this month?

My partner and I also had s*x 4 days before I was meant to Ovulate... (unprotected as we are trying)

Why could this be?

  1. If your periods have always been pretty regular, it is strange that your cycle would change all of a sudden, unless you are pregnant. I would start out by taking a HPT in a couple of days, if you still have no period. Depending on that result, I would call the doctor to schedule an appointment either to get a blood test to prove that you are pregnant or to find out why your period never came.

I'm in the same position. I am currently 4 days late for my period but keep having a negative test. If you test negative first off, keep trying because it may be early for the hormone to show on the HPT.

  2. you should take an hpt, if your periods are always on time and nothing yet, you need to check to make sure, if you start having irregular periods talk to your doctor as that can make it a bit more difficult to conceive and they can help you, you can also ask a fertility specialist online for free, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!!
