Late registration in high school?

Question

i just moved from pennsylvania to california... i still haven't registered at any high school yet cause after i moved, i went to the philippines for vacation.. i'll be coming back on the 25th of august and will still be looking for a high school cause my aunt didn't took care of it (also, they can't register without me) would i still be able to get in or do i have to pay a late registration fee or something..?

*i can't change my flight schedule...

You will go to a school in the school district where you reside except you enroll in a private school.
