Lately every time one of our yahoo group members tries to post a message to the group, it shows as spam--why?

It's defective, so if you don't have a spam problem, you don't need it, so turn it off in management under messages.

Here’s how to turn Spam Filtering off:

From the list on the left, click Management.

Click Messages under Group Settings.

Click Edit next to Posting and Archives.

Select Off under "Spam Filtering".

Click Save Changes.
