    What my parents do is: Whenever they say a negative comment they have to say 4 positives.

    Ok you might think this is stupid but search on YouTube:

    Perhaps you should talk to your doctor about the possibility of mild depression if it continues for over two weeks.

  8. once me and my friend decided to say only god things about everybody we saw. it was actually really hard! Try that, it makes you so much better at thinking positive.

  9. Well, stop it.  Think about what you are going to say before it leaves your mouth.  Try to think of something positive about the situation or person.  You can look at either side of things, you will be happier if you look at the positive side.

  10. I have noticed this about myself lately too and it takes a toll on me. My mood gets down, my self confidence goes down and I am less happy. I have started to say "ERASE.... what I meant is..." and in this manner I am thinking only positive thoughts

  11. Have you been through any struggles lately with family, boyfriends/girlfriends lately.  Some people are negative due to past events that hurts them to this day.  If this is the case, maybe you should seek counsoling to talk about issues that you may have.  

  12. Completely normal. This just happens sometimes, it could be caused by hormones. What you could do to help is when you catch yourself doing it, stop yourself and start thinking positive things about the thing. Be positive! I mean like extremely positive about everything, you can actually convince yourself that everything is great, by constantly telling your self everything is. When you look at any object or person, think of everything great about that. Or just tell yourself its great. You will notice once you start looking at everything different (in a good way) you will become more positive and happier.  

  13. yeah well i went through a bout of depression a year ago and i was the epitome of a pessimist.

    just do things that make you feel happy. and never pity yourself..

  16. Smile more. Smiling releases endorphins in the brain causing you to increase your awareness, and even more so, your ability to become positive. Naturally you'll become happy through smiling. Most people think it's the other way around.

  18. i get that way when i am not happy with my life.  I find things to complain about and hate all because i am not satisfied with how my life looks and feels to me.  I think you should take a step back and really think about what is making you so bitter towards the world.

  19. Sometimes I feel negative about things too- I think everyone does. Is there something specific going on that would make you feel negative? Do you have anyone to talk to like a significant other, or family member? It is always helpful to talk about your problems. People can't help you if you don't tell them what is going on.
