After his latest outburst at a journalist, the Manchester City star’s future for the French national team has come under intense scrutiny and he could even be chucked out for good measure
The inglorious 2-0 defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 last summer, has never enjoyed a great relationship with media and indulged
himself in further murky waters after the end of the game.
A journalist came up to him to ask him a few questions. However, so incense was the Frenchman at his team’s defeat that he chose to have a go at a journalist who had nothing to do with the player’s performance.
However, his post game antics were not the first in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699, Nasri went up towards the L’Equipe journalists
who had criticised him a few days back and told them to “shut their mouth”.
And, the French Football Federation president, Noel Le Graet is not happy with how the youngster has carried himself.
“He was on the edge. But we should put the incident into perspective, I want to see what happened. He has a difficult external behaviour while being highly motivated by the French team. He is happy to be in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 team. I’m not here to punish him.”
Le Graet is trying to calm down the situation but it is clear that people will wonder if Samir Nasri actually has a future with the national side.
Off the field antics have made Samir Nasri a symbol of hate and indeed, he has not really inspired anyone’s confidence with his on the field performances. Apart from the goal against England, Nasri simply failed to meet expectations of manager Laurent Blanc
who had expected more out of him.
Against Spain, Samir Nasri was nowhere to be seen. Furthermore, many players in the French dressing room don’t really like Nasri that much.
If Laurent Blanc remains the manager of Les Bleus, it is hard to see if he will continue having so much faith in Samir Nasri.
Though his talent is undeniable, Nasri’s gestures are his downfall and perhaps, Laurent Blanc would be better off with having less gifted but loyal players who are willing to be ‘glorious’ in defeat and for who, the idea of sportsmanship is not an elusive
one.
