Swansea City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup, won’t make a money spinning scheme out of Michu, claiming that the Spanish International is happy at the Liberty Stadium.
The 26-year old has arguably been the signing of the summer thus far, having already hit the back of the net on 10 occasions.
The South http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 outfit claimed the signature of the towering midfielder for a paltry 2 million pounds transfer fee from Rayo Vallecano. Although he prefers to play at his usual position in the midfield, Laudrup has operated him more at the frontline in the
last couple of matches. He has now achieved the status of the Swans regular striker.
Having taken everyone by the storm in his debut Premier League season, it is expected that the top-flight clubs will make overtures for him in the January window. The Welsh club have developed a reputation of creating world class players and to eventually
lose their services to bigger teams.
Nonetheless, the Liberty Stadium chief has insisted the Michu will not be put on sale in January.
The Danish football legend put the midfielder’s worth to be even more than Joe Allen’s – who was sold to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 for a whooping 15 million pounds fee – and said that it was highly unlikely that any club would be willing to pay that much for him.
He also assured the fans that he won’t follow on the footsteps of Brendan Rodgers by leaving the Swansea http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, if a lucrative offer comes knocking on the door, as he was enjoying his spell with the club.
“I am happy here and I think Michu is too. Why should we want to leave? We are not going anywhere,” he told the reporters.
“There has been a lot said because everyone talks about Michu. A lot of clubs would like to sign him.”
“We know what they paid for Joe, who is a very talented player. Imagine what the cost would be for a top scorer in the Premier. If they had to pay double there are few clubs who could afford that.”
Michu has represented the Swans in 17 matches so far and has got 11 goals to his name.
