Swansea City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup revealed that he is planning on making more signings this summer, but refused to name his potential targets in order to avoid any interference other clubs.
The Danish football legend took over the reins of the Welsh club on the 15th of June on a two year deal, following Brendan Rodgers departure from the Liberty Stadium earlier in the same month.
Since assuming the office, the 48-year old signed defender, Chico Flores on a permanent contract and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonathan-c18993 de Guzman on a season long loan.
Despite currently coaching a squad of 30 players, Laudrup unravelled his intention of bringing in more reinforcements during the summer transfer window. However, he insisted that he won’t divulge the names of his targets as yet, as it will likely cause a
stir amongst the top flight clubs, who will then cause problems in the process moving along smoothly.
Earlier, the Swans had reportedly finalized a deal for the Hoffenheim midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson under Rodgers, which failed to materialize after the Northern Irishman parted ways with the Welsh outfit. Eventually, the Icelandic International was signed
by Tottenham Hotspur.
Laudrup told the reporters in an interview, “I don't want to say so much about the names, because we have to realise there are a lot of clubs in the same position as we are right now.”
“We have to do things quietly because if we talk too much, other clubs will say 'Oh, we would like that as well.”
The Swans are set to tour North http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Colorado-Rapids-c38849, Ventura County Fusion and San
Jose Earthquakes.
When asked if he was planning on signing new players before embarking on the tour, he responded by saying that it would be an ‘ideal’ scenario. However, he underscored that the process of transferring a player required a lot of effort and time, but admitted
that the pre-season fixtures are a perfect drill exercise for any newcomer.
“A lot of things have to come together before we can make the signings, but hopefully before US would be great. Let's see - it's possible.”
