Swansea City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup, is ransacking the free-agent transfer market in order to capture a replacement for the injured Neil Taylor.
The left-back fractured his ankle from three positions during the Swans Premier League game against Sunderland last Saturday. After undergoing a surgery, his doctors revealed that the player will miss out the remainder of the term, as the extent of the damage
was severe.
His omission has sparked problems for the Dane, as he is currently short of options in his squad for the left-back position.
The timing of the Welsh footballer’s injury has also prevented the manager from bringing in a locum, as the transfer window had closed only a day before.
The situation has now left him with just one option i.e. to survey the market for players who are currently without a contract.
A free agent can be signed by any club even outside the transfer window period.
While talking to the reporters during an interview, Laudrup revealed that he was already working on solving the Taylor predicament.
He said that there were plenty of quality defenders in the market who can fill in his shoes, but he was searching for a best replacement.
“We are working on it. What has happened is very sad for Neil, and for us,” he told the reporters.
“But we have been looking for a couple of days at the free agents who are available and I think there are a couple of players who could suit us. Now we have to see what happens.”

Taylor is considered to be the linchpin of the Swans defence. During his stay at the Liberty Stadium, he has so far made 71 appearances and played an important part in helping the club make a leap from the Championship to the Premier League.
Although Laudrup conceded that the defender’s loss was a huge blow for his team this season, he unearthed that the management were doing their best to fill in his void.
He further stated that they have been reached by the agents of a lot of players, and the selection process in currently underway.
“We have to do some research — we have to talk to a lot of people who have no interest in these players and get their opinions.”
