Swansea City boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup, let out his laudation for the newly signed Ki Sung-yueng for making an impressive debut against Barnsley on Tuesday night.
The Welsh outfit hired the services of the South Korean International last week, signing him on a three-year deal from the Scottish giants, Celtic. The move has reported to have cost the club a transfer fee believed to be in the region of 6 million pounds.
Despite receiving clearance from FIFA just hours before the kick-off against Barnsley, the midfielder impressed his manager with his performance, quickly adjusting to the Swans possession retaining style.
Luke Moore scored a brace in the game while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Graham netted one as well, as Swansea cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win.
The 48-year-old Dane commended the midfielder for his performance on Tuesday. He pointed out that it was only the first time that he was playing alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kemy-Agustien-c20557, but nevertheless, managed to form a good partnership with them.
“He has only been here and in training for only a couple of days and we had to wait until 2.30pm so we could have the go-ahead that he could play,” he told the reporters.
“Once you get to know each other things will start to move for fluidly and he needs to be given more time.”
Swansea will next play Sunderland in a Premier League match on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium, as Laudrup’s men look to make it three wins out of three in the league.
However, the manager was undecided on whether to start with Ki against the Black Cats or not, as he was still not sure of the set of players that he will have at his disposal, after the transfer window closes.
“There are three days left of the transfer window and in any minute something can happen so we will see on Friday after training what players we have and who is fit and available,” he added.
According to reports, the Swans are likely to lose out http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scott-Sinclair-c32675 to Manchester City, but have stepped up their pursuit of the Spanish player, Pablo Hernandez, and are also keen on signing Marvin Emnes.
