Swansea City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Graham in January, claiming that the striker was a part of his future plans.
The English International, who was a regular under Brendan Rodgers tenure, has apparently lost favour of his current boss, who has mostly started him from the bench.
So far, the 27-year old has made just 9 league appearances in the ongoing season, finding the back of the net just once during this period.
His current understudy status owes much to the arrival of the new Swansea City star, Michu, in summer. Although the Spaniard started his Liberty Stadium career as a midfielder, Laudrup promoted him to the frontline keeping in view his astounding conversion
rate. Michu is currently the joint highest goal scorer in the competition alongside Manchester United’ http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 with 13 scalps.
Since Graham has played very little part in the Swans league proceedings thus far, it is rumoured that the striker might be sold in January.
However, Laudrup has moved to quash such surmises. The manager pointed out that multiple rumours and speculations appear in the media ahead of the transfer windows, and that he has no intentions of selling the player in January.
“There will be rumours. In some rumours there is something, in others nothing. We just have to take it from there,” he told the reporters.
“We will take it from there and after January 1 I want to speak to the players, especially the ones who aren't playing, to find out what their intentions are and what they want for the next half-season and for the future.”
Laudrup may hold on to Graham for now, but the manager admitted that he will need to address the player’s apprehensions. The 48-year old admitted that the forward was not pleased with a place in the bench and that he will discuss his future with him in detail.
“I think that's fair, especially to the players who are not playing. [Graham] is still part of our plans here but I want to hear from him,” he added.
Swansea are set to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
