Swansea City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup has revealed that he will hold talks with Joe Allen in the coming days, to discuss the midfielder’s future at the Liberty Stadium.
The Welsh footballer, recently returned to training with the Swans following the culmination of his international commitments with Great Britain in the Olympics Games.
However, he is still on Liverpool’s radar, as the Anfield boss, Brendan Rodgers has turned his focus on the prolific 22-year old, in order to successfully implement his Swansea-like model at the Merseyside club.
According to some reports, the Reds have made a 13.5 million pounds overture for Allen, and whether or not the player will head out of the Welsh team, will solely depend on what he wants.
Earlier, Laudrup had admitted that the Swans could lose the battle of keeping Allen at the Liberty Stadium, but refused to unravel any specific details of the talks between the two sides.
Following his return to the training camp on Monday, the Dane unearthed that he had a brief chat with the midfielder. However, he mentioned that he did not discuss the subject of his transfer talks with him as yet, but revealed he plans on sorting out the
whole problem as soon as possible.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 have until 31st of August – the transfer deadline date –  to seek the player’s signature.
While talking to reporters, the 48-year old said, “We will have to talk about that with the player to see what he wants so we can say something official, otherwise the rumours will go on until August 31, which is not in anyone's interest…we will have some
talks so it does not go on until the last day of the transfer window.”
Since the departure of Rodgers from Swansea, the Welsh outfit have been running in the risk of losing out their star players to bigger clubs during the summer.
Earlier, Laudrup lost the battle for signing Gylfi Sigurdsson, who pipped the Swans to strike a deal with Tottenham Hotspur.
Nonetheless, the Dane turned down the notion that he will be left with a depleted side following the closure of the transfer window.
He insisted that his players’ performance in the preceding term was bound to catch the attention of top flight teams, and vowed to build a competitive unit ahead of their coming campaign.
“There is always rumour; one day it's Joe Allen, one day it is Ashley [Williams], the next it's [Neil] Taylor or it's Leon [Britton] or [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193] Graham,” he added.
