Laugh Out Loud to bag the fifth outing in the Equinity Powered By Garmin Fillies’ Stakes Registered As Michael Seely Memorial Stakes (Listed Race) at York
York will become home for the Class 1 Equinity Powered By Garmin Fillies’ Stakes Registered As Michael Seely Memorial Stakes (Listed Race) over a mile on Friday, 18th May. The 22,684 prize money will get contested by seven three-year-old runners out of whom only one has raced at York.
Hello Glory, Zamindar’s three-year-old bay filly out of mare, Affair Of State, ended third in the Group 2 Jaguar Cars Lowther Stakes (Fillies) on 18th August over six furlongs.
The race was won by Best Terms as Fire Lily finished the closest. Concluding the race third was Hello Glory while the 7/2 favourite of the race, Angels Will Fall, ended seventh on the track of eleven.
Out of the four races that she took part in, the three-year-old won at one instance only.
She was the 11/4 favourite of the John Guest Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 22nd July at Ascot over six furlongs.
Besito qualified as the runner up while coming at terms with the third position was I’m So Glad.
A note worthy entry for the race is Laugh Out Loud, Clodovil’s three-year-old grey filly out of mare, Funny Girl, won twice out of the four career starts in her 2012 debut season. Both the victories were at Kempton, the other two race courses being Wolverhampton and Newmarket.
She bagged the second success of the career which came in the form of 32Red Casino Median Auction Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 16th February at Kempton over a mile.
She was the ½ favourite of the race and led the runner up, Play Street, by a staggering ten lengths.
Catching up with the third position on the track of seven was Macy Anne.
On 7th April, she won the Betfred “When Both Teams Score” Fillies’ Conditions Stakes at Kempton over a mile. Leading by a length, she made Way Too Hot take up the second position.
The 3/1 favourite of the race, Witnessed, ended sixth on the track of ten.
She finished eighth in the Group 1 Qipco 1000 Guineas Stakes on 6th May at Newmarket over a mile and thus could not strike a hat trick.
Fifth career start and an unfortunate loss in the most recent race will get her tempted for claiming the race today.
