  1. It's suppose to make you feel relaxed and silly, make you not care what they're doing and numb you up a bit. I like it, it's effective, last time I had it though I totally blanked out part of the visit so I think I did fall asleep but it's suppose to do that.

  2. well it's called nitrogen oxide but its different from the one used in cars though ..anyway it's used as a sedative so sometimes local anesthesia will be also required ..it's kind of nice i mean it gives a good floating\numbness sensation ,you will feel semi asleep and i think u won't feel any pain :)

  3. No just numb

  4. I had surgery on my tooth in the past and it was my first time with laughing gas. It wasnt bad at all. They numbed my mouth then gave me shots that made me feel nothing at all, Seriously the most painful part was the shot and that was totally bearable.

  5. Hello! I recently got a cavity filled (it was not my fault, my tooth was messed up haha) and they gave me laughing gas. It doesn't make you fall asleep, and you don't feel any pain. The laughing gas is only supposed to calm your nerves so you aren't so nervous. They give you pain numbing, so you don't feel it. They put this large elephant-looking thing on your nose and you breathe through your nose. Your fingers will start to feel tingly, and then tell them when that happens... and also, tell the dentist if you feel light-headed or dizzy. I hope this helps!

  6. It made me fall asleep. It was like my whole body felt like when my foot or leg falls asleep. Its not supposed to make you go to sleep. Its supposed to help you relax. I wasn't fully out. I kind of was semi aware of what was happening. But I think I knocked out because I only felt them working on one side of my face.
