Question:

Launchcast - Media Player Pluggin?

When I try to start Lauchcast, I get this message:

"The Windows Media Player plugin needs to be installed in order to play Yahoo! LaunchCAST radio.

Please click on the yellow bar above to install the plugin."

...but there is no yellow bar. I've reinstalled Windows Media Player (11) and the latest Yahoo Messenger. I've searched through the microsoft site, but couldn't find the plugin. It does play music in the messenger window, but not in the normal explorer Launchcast window. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

  1. The Windows media plug-ins are located in your Windows system 32 folder.  You don't need to download anything.  My best guess is that somehow you disabled the Internet Explorer add-ons for wmpdxl.dll and wmp.dll.  Click IE Tools and click Manage add-ons.  Enable the add-ons wmpdxl.dll and wmp.dll.
