Launchcast Radio in the Yahoo Music Jukebox problem?

Question

For the last few days I haven't been able to play my Launchcast Radio when I open Yahoo Jukebox. The screen stays blank. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and that didn't help. Is anyone else having this problem after loading v.2??

to answer your question, i don't know cause i don't use the radio within the jukebox.  i do, however, use the launch radio from within yahoo instant messenger(yim) and i suggest you do too.  there are 3 reasons for this:

1.)it might solve your problem

2.)the commercials are usually 10-30 sec. long on yim but in the jukebox for some reason they are usually about a minute each

3.)yim takes up less space than the jukebox, so it opens and runs faster and is less of a drag on your computer's resources

the only drawback is that you can adjust the jukebox's sound quality to be a lil better than in yim, but for me, i still prefer yim for radio.  hope this helps.

I have just checked mine and it is working fine, so maybe there is a gremlin in the system at your end.

Some people have reported problems similar to yours, and sometimes there doesn't seem to be any solution.

Here are some things that might work:

1- Delete your internet cache and Yahoo-related cookies.

2- Temporarily disable your firewall and other security software to see if the problem exists even with those functions turned off.

3- Reinstall Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, Flash, DirectX, ActiveX, and Java.  I know some of these have nothing to do with the problem, but I couldn't tell you for sure which ones.

4- Uninstall YMJ and reinstall an older version.  If you have YMU, be sure to deactivate your license first.

5- Cross your fingers and hope Yahoo puts out a newer YMJ version that doesn't have this problem.
