Laundry detergent on fleece rat bedding?

I chose to use fleece for my rats bedding and now its time to wash it.

is it okay to use laundry detergent? is it bad for them?

  3. They sell "green" detergents now that would be safer, but if you can't find it then regular is fine. Just rinse a couple extra times before putting it in the dryer.
