Laura Davies plans to play in the 2016 Olympics
Laura Davis is all set to play golf in Olympics 2016. The prolific English player has caught the Olympic fever and with the rest of the world, she is supporting her national team in the world’s greatest sports event.
She is very excited about the Olympics and is very much looking forward to playing the 2016 Olympics.
She said, “I’m really looking forward to competing in front of a home gallery with the support of the British public so it will be one of the highlights of the year for me”.
Many fans believe the only honour left for Davies now is to be a part of the Great Britain’s Olympic team. The 48-year-old golfer has already won an amazing 81 professional titles and has been awarded the order of merit a record seven times.
These days Laura Davies is busy preparing for the ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters, the most prestigious British women golf tournament.
The event is scheduled to be held right after the Olympics Games. The slot is perfect for the event as it is nicely sandwiched between the Olympics and the Paralympics.
The British Open is considered to be one of the most important events on the international golf calendar. It is considered unique and is among the most anticipated events on the LET calendar. All the major players on the tour have announced their availability
for the event.
Another important event is also taking up Davies’s attention. The Ladies Irish Open is just about to start and Davies is participating in the event.
She will have to bring in all her expertise in order to gain a good place on the leaderboard. Laura Davies has just played in the well known Evian Masters presented by Societe Generale. She finished the event at the 64th place with a score of
294.
Summing up her response on the Ladies Irish Open, the Ladies British Masters and the Olympics, she said, “I am playing in the Ladies Irish Open at Killeen Castle this week, but it is a very special time for the country and I hope that the festivities carry
over to the ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters, which will give sports fans a taste of what’s to come in Rio in four years time”.
