Laura Ingalls Wilder books and her daughters?

I have the all the little house books but what are her daughters Rose Wilder's about? Be descriptive please.

Interesting question.

Rose Wilder Lane (1886-1968) wrote books based on her family history -- "Free Land" and "Young Pioneers"-- as well as others based on her later world travels. Her writing style has been critiqued by some as starker and much bleaker than that of her famous mother. Examples of this follow in the below reviews.

Free Land:  " . . . Many of the incidents in this book are real but were omitted from Laura's books. . . . 'Free Land' is darker and harsher than Laura's books; more of an adult story. It's well worth reading but don't expect another 'Little House' book out of it."

Young Pioneers:

On the other hand, she co-wrote a lighter book with H. D. Boylston based on her travel diary.

i forget the details but i can tell you they are in the same style as the others and are just as good. there are not that many though...

I LOVE the Laura Ingalls Wilder books, I too have read and seen all the Little House books, shows, and movies. But I was unaware of her daughter's writings. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
