Laura Sogar and Dax Hill dominate in Austin: Day three – Texas Senior Circuit
Day three of the 2011 Texas Senior Circuit ended with the brilliant performances of Laura Sogar and Dax Hill, in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, July 9.
Laura Sogar won the Women’s 100m breast-stroke meet, while Dax Hill snared the Men’s 200m freestyle title. Aaron Greene captured the Men’s 200m back-stroke crown and Hayes Johnson won the Men’s 400m Individual Medley title. Paige Miller clinched the Women’s
50m back-stroke meet, while Madison Wenzler snagged the Men’s 50m back-stroke race.
Initially, Laura Sogar captured the Women’s 100m breast-stroke meet with a winning time of 1 minute and 10.77 seconds. Catherine Wagner of CFSC wound up second in 1 minute and 11.88 seconds, while Erica Dittmer of Aggie settled third in 1 minute and 12.50
seconds.
In the second meet, Gingrich snared the Women’s 400m IM title with a triumphant time of 4 minutes and 53.53 seconds, whereas, Sarah Peterson of SCAT grabbed silver in 4 minutes and 53.81 seconds. The bronze medal went to Chelsie Miller of CFSC in 4 minutes
and 55.80 seconds.
The Men’s 200m freestyle title was clinched by Longhorn’s swimmer, Dax Hill, in a winning time of 1 minute and 50.25 seconds. Joye wound up second in 1 minute and 52.13 seconds, while Austin Surhoff earned third place honours in 1 minute and 52.94 seconds.
Aaron Greene of Nadadores took home the Men’s 200m back-stroke meet in 2 minutes and 01.19 seconds, while Patrick Murphy earned the silver title in 2 minutes and 03.51 seconds. The bronze medal went to Surhoff in 2 minutes and 04.82 seconds.

The Men’s 400m IM crown was taken over by Hayes Johnson with a winning time of 4 minutes and 26.18 seconds. In the meantime, Ty Stewart of YHF was placed second in 4 minutes and 30.56 seconds, while Jackson Wilcox of Longhorn claimed the bronze medal in 4 minutes
and 32.66 seconds.
Paige Miller of Aggie topped the Women’s 50m back-stroke meet in a time of 30.08 seconds, whereas, Madison Wenzler won the Men’s 50m back-stroke race in 26.95 seconds.
