Laura’s Bairn likely to thrive in Ambulance Handicap
Laura’s Bairn is likely to deliver winning performance at Sandown racecourse in a bid to complete his hat-trick by finishing first in the Mediforce Independent Ambulance Handicap that will be held today, June 15. The high-stakes Class 5 contest will commence
at 2:40 (GMT).
The J. R. Jenkins-trained novice colt has been at the peak of form since the very outset of the calendar year.
On February 7, the three-year-old talented runner marvellously lifted the title of Gold And Racing At Southwell Handicap by beating seven strong rivals.
Following this classic conquest, he moved on to claim top spot in the Dine And View At Catterick Races Handicap on April 25. This time, he faced 10 runners.
As a whole, the brilliant son of Piccolo out of Primula Bairn has won 3 of his total 7 starts so far. At the moment, he is on a hat-trick that he wants to complete by winning the Ambulance Handicap.
In today’s event, Laura’s Bairn is going to compete against half a dozen worthy rivals such as Bogini, Jocasta Dawn, Especially Red, Langley Vale, Baltic Flyer and Hannibal Hayes.
The colt’s morale is high and his chances to thrive are greater than any other runner. The only thing he needs to do is maintaining the consistency of pace on the soft track of 5 furlongs and 6 yards.
Though Laura’s Bairn looks to be the strongest candidate on the card but Jocasta Dawn can give him tough time in the race as the Henry Candy-trained bay filly elegantly finished first in her last outing on May 1, 2012.
Prior to this, the daughter of Kyllachy out of Jubilee Dawn had gained a 4th position against 9 contestants in her maiden race on April 14.
Thus, it is anticipated that there will be a tough tussle between Laura’s Bairn and Jocasta dawn, and this is likely to make the event thrilling.
Bogini will also be able to do well today. The M. D. O’Callaghan-trained bay filly bagged a fabulous triumph in her last outing on June 8, 2012. Earlier, she had earned a third on May 31.
