Laurent Blanc content with French performance against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871
French manager Laurent Blanc has gone on to admit that he is quite content with the way his side took on Chile in a friendly last night. Despite his side ending the night with a draw, the manager seems to be looking at the bright side of things.
Loic Remy helped give http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 the lead in the game. Following the goal, France seemed to pick up their momentum and even went on to score another goal. However, the referee’s assistant went on to make a rather ridiculously poor decision as he disallowed the
goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Gameiro-c20721 and as a result, it prevented France from extending their lead.
Following the luck that was shown to them, the Chileans started to get into the game. They went on to string together a number of passes and eventually picked up the equalizer. Nicolas Cordova was the player, who went on to put the ball into the back of
the net and his goal resulted in the game ending with both sides scoring one goal apiece.
Blanc, despite being highly disappointed with the officials conduct in the game, refused to talk about them in his post match interviews.
Nonetheless, the manager did have a few words to reflect upon the game. Blanc started by admitting that he didn’t expect Chile to be at their best, mainly due to the fact that the side had just participated in the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 and still had a number of tired
players.
Blanc is quoted to have said: ''I did not expect their usual physical side”
''They only got a few days rest after the Copa America. But I knew we were still in for a great contest.”
The manager then went on to highlight that the Chileans were a bunch of highly talented players and it was never easy to play against them. The manager also went on to mention that he was more than happy with the efforts that his squad put in during the
game and as a result, he was a happy manager at the end of the day.
Blanc ended by stating: ''They have excellent players and we have all witnessed a fun game. There were scoring opportunities and two goals. You can always do better, but I'm pretty happy with the effort of my players.''
France’s next international game is going to be a Euro 2012 qualifying game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Albania-c2834, which is going to take place in Tirana. At the moment, France are being regarded as the favourites to win the game, however, there is still a possibility of Albania
producing an upset.
