Laurent Blanc, the France coach, has been heavily linked with the English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently without a manager.
After France were dumped out of the European Championships, Blanc is set to meet with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Football Federation to discuss his future. Blanc has emerged the favourite to replace Harry Redknapp as the manager of the Spurs, after the latter was sacked
in the summer transfer window.
The English manager led the London side to a fourth place finish in the English Premier League, but failed to earn a qualification for the Champions League next season since London rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 won the European competition by defeating Bayern Munich on

Noel le Graet, the FFF president, confirmed talks were scheduled to be held with Blanc regarding his future. He said he expected both parties to have similar views on Blanc’s future with the French side, which crashed out to Spain in the European Championship.
Graet said in an interview:
“We will meet soon to discuss the future. We must give it a week to take stock at leisure. We will meet within eight days and we will have a position, I imagine, in common.”
He continued:
“As a man, Laurent is completely respectable and pleasant. We must talk about football, his desire and his career. We must see how he sees things and how I see them.”

Graet revealed:
“We had not won a game in international competition since 2006. I try to find positive things - that is my role. We are in a period of transition. Obviously, I would like it to go faster.”
Along with Blanc, former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is in contention for the position of the manager at White Hart Lane. However, after tensions with Villas-Boas during talks, Blanc remains the favourite for the position, with the 46-year-old expected
to announce his future in the upcoming days.
