Laurent Blanc insists PSG are not interested in signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 – Football News
Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc admitted that his side is not interesting in signing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney this summer. There was keen interest from the club earlier in the summer but the signing of Edinson Cavani has laid all rumours to rest.
Wayne Rooney’s future at Manchester United looks uncertain after the striker’s rumoured rift with new manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes. The player has reportedly decided to leave the club before the new season begins and there are good chances that he will be playing for a new club next season.
Blanc stated that his side now has great options in attack and there is no chance that they will be going for Rooney this summer. The manager admitted that the signing of Cavani from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 earlier this week makes a strong attack force so Rooney may not be needed. However, he admitted that the midfield area may need a bit of improvement before the start of the new season.
“Wayne Rooney is a magnificent player but we're very well covered in attack. We have to see what we can do in midfield. If there is another arrival, it will be in this sector,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the former French national team boss stated that the partnership of Cavani and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 is sure to do wonders for his side next season. He is looking forward to a great attacking team next season and has also hinted on some exits.
“I think he [Ibrahimovic] and Cavani will complement one another. I have talked a lot with Zlatan. I have no reason to believe that he or others will not be in Paris next year. He will join us in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015, and then we will analyse the players we have. I can tell you that if we have 30 players, someone will leave,” he concluded.
Wayne Rooney is rumoured to be the prime target of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager Jose Mourinho. The London club also made an offer for the player earlier this week which was declined by the English Premier League champions.
