Reports claim that the France national team manager is being viewed as the ideal replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson who for the time being, has no plans to retire
Today, Laurent Blanc will be putting the final touches to the France side that will play against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757 back in 2010, the former Bordeaux
coach has transformed Les Bleus into a winning unit.
A team that was deserted by its fans following the events in Knysna has started showing signs of recovery under the Cevennes native. Though his issues with France Football Federation president Noel Le Graet have not been sorted out, Blanc’s achievements
with the national team have not gone unnoticed.
Initially, the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan were keen on signing the former World Cup winner. However, it now appears that Laurent Blanc is among the favourites to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as the next manager of Manchester United in a season or two
if the legendary Scot decides to retire.
Laurent Blanc, who played under Sir Alex between 2011 and 2003 at the Theatre of Dreams, along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 and Jose Mourinho, is reportedly under the shortlist of potential successors chosen by the man himself.
Le President, as he was known during his playing days at United, left the club with fond memories and Sir Alex has always held him in high regard.
Recently, while talking to Daily Star, Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 was very appreciative of his former player.
“Their team (France) is more balanced and has found the taste of victory. As they did in 1998, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 established a mixture of young and experienced players. When Laurent Blanc played in Manchester, he carefully followed our training methods. He was intelligent
and clearly showed that he had the qualities to be a coach. He has shown this since he took over France. He made them into a winning team again.”
Recently, United lost the Premier League title to bitter rivals Manchester City on the last day of the season and would be looking to reclaim the title. In the meantime, Laurent Blanc would be looking to guide the French national team to a great finish to
the Euros.
Though Sir Alex has never really given the exact time of his retirement, short listing Blanc as a potential successor is definitely not a bad choice at all considering how far an ailing French team came under him.
