Laurent Koscielny would leave Arsenal for trophies – Football News
Arsenal centre back and French international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742, has revealed that he could consider leaving the Emirates, should the team fail to win any trophies.
Koscielny, who was arguably the Gunners most improved player this past season, was quizzed over just what circumstances would force him to leave the club. In response to those questions, he admitted that he will find it hard to
stick around, if the team failed to win ay trophies, and keep fighting to secure a fourth spot finish.
"I feel good at Arsenal, if we have ambition to fight against the other teams of course I want to stay here," Koscielny said in a recent interview.
"It's hard psychologically. We are constantly pressured because if Arsenal is not in the Champions League it would be a catastrophe.”
"It is hard to not win titles year after year. We are competitors, professionals, we want to win. I want to add to my list of achievements. If http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 cannot allow me that, I'll seek a move elsewhere."
Koscielny is currently being eyed by Bayern Munich, who are reportedly interested in trying to pursue the centre back to make the move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. Given the fact that Arsenal have not won anything since 2005 and Munich just went
on to win the treble this past season, it would be interesting to see just how those talks would develop.
Nonetheless, Koscielny has insisted that he has no plans on leaving the team just yet, since he is going to stick around and see how things play out for him and the club.
Given the fact that Arsenal is now the only team in the top four to have the same manager they had in the previous season, it will give the team a major advantage to claiming the league title this coming season.
However, this dream can only be achieved by the team if they go on and invest in some new players, who can add some much needed depth and quality to the current Arsenal squad.
