I am going to be doing a stall at my daughters school fair. I have some beautiful lavender to use and wonder if anyone has any fab Ideas on what I can do with it for the children. We are going to do bags but there must be more?

Also it is still very much in bloom at the moment, so I have 2 weeks to get it cut and dried. Will this be enough time?

Any help REALLY appreciated!

  1. Did you want to have products already made or things for the children to put together, and what age children?

You could get some small glass bottles or jars and place a few springs of lavender in them, maybe add a ribbon around the stems or neck of the bottle.  Sachets are nice to hang in closets or freshen drawers.  You could purchase or make small bags with drawstrings and use blooms and leaves that fall off the stems.

I did a search on clusty.com for "lavender crafts".  One of the results was a fan made from lavender stems and ribbon at http://www.allfreecrafts.com/nature/lave... .

They could braid some fresh lavender stems and tie with a bow.

    Lavender is my favorite.  Enjoy.

  2. Lavender sticks are beautiful, and usually made with fresh lavender so you wouldn't have to dry it ahead.  http://www.ehow.com/how_1347_make-lavend...

This site has several ideas; the potpourri sounds very nice.  http://www.seedsofknowledge.com/lavender...

Wish I had some of that lovely lavender!  Best of luck at the fair.

  3. Dreamcatchers with the lavender tied to the ribbons.

    Dryer Bags

    Lavender Chocolate is really yummy.

Some people braid the stalks of lavender to hang.
