Law and promise for a debate ?

What makes people forget, that the law, of even a crosswalk has an effect on agruement ?

Example; two persons walk while able to safely walk across to the other side while still be wrong at the street signal.

Also,  we have too many ambulance chasers running commercials that convince those who stupidly do wrong that they are entitled to something.    Our courts need to enforce the idea that common sense and compliance with the laws are standards that need to be met.     For example,  if I was to cross away from a crosswalk,   step out in front of a legally operated car without looking,  should I be able to sue the driver?    I say no,  for  I chose to leave the sidewalk for the domain of the car,   I chose to do it away from a crosswalk,  I chose not to look first.

Some people just dont care and or understand and don't think the law applies to them.

I suspect most people, however, break the law just to see if they can.

I think if our society did a better job of educating kids and preparing them for adulthood, there would be fewer criminals and law breakers.
