I am a junior at a four year college with a major in history and my dream job is to become an attorney for the state of new york. I would love to go onward to law school after I graduate. I want to major in Criminal law. Does anyone know of any good law schools anywhere in the US that have good criminal law programs? Thank you.

  1. You will find that most law schools who offer criminal law as a specialization have a good reputation for their program.

Generally speaking, it is pointless us giving you names of law schools since we do not know your GPA nor your LSAT score/potential and these factors are what law schools really take into consideration when making their admission decisions or least part of it.

For example, I will say that Georgetown has a good criminal law and procedure curriculum but if you are have a GPA of 3.0 and LSAT scores of 165 then Georgetown will not be an option for you, since you would need at least a 3.5 and scores of 170 to have a shot at this law school and even then it would be a reach school.
