Ok your engine is using fuel faster than it is entering the carburetor 3 possibility's first start with the gas cap loose make sure it is not a tank vent issue

then check the fuel lines going from the tank

last the filter where the gas comes out of the tank

I am sure your problem is one of the three

Just a tip about cleaning these carburetors - look for a tiny hole near the bottom of a part (can't think of a name for the piece).  Oftimes that clogs up.  Carb cleaner may clean it out, but best bet is to run a fine wire through it, make sure it's open.

It's like they say in the Plavix commercial, a tiny clot can take down a big guy.  Although I wouldn't suggest adding Plavix to your gas.

Hold it!!

Place the mower on a level surface. Let is sit quietly for 10 minutes.

Pullout the oil lever dip stick.

Wipe it off.

Reinsert, remove and check the oil level before any of that other stuff.

It is possible the engine is seizing as it runs on low oil.

Sounds like the carb. may need cleaning. Go to an auto parts and get some injector cleaner(Seafoam or B12) and add it to the gas to see if that helps.Unless you want to rebuild the carb, clean the fuel lines,tank,and fuel pump(if riding mower.

Ok you need to check two things.

number one is the diaphram on the carb.

Number two is when you take the carb. off the mower you may find one or two long plastic rods that have a filter screen in the bottom of them. check to make sure these screens are clear.

I think it is the diaphram it acts as a fuel pump and they go bad easy.

sounds like your fuel filter is plugged so only a small amount of fuel is getting to the bowl , or if you have points your condenser is done
