AT my son's school, some kids have been bullying him. They curse at him interfere when ever he talks, and say the HE is the jerk. I wanted to know if there is a law against this, or how to deal with it. We live in Bergen County (New Jersey, USA). Oh, and my son doesn't want anyone short of the Governer to come and talk to them, so are there any other ways? He has tried ignoring them, talking back, or (without my permission) pushing them away with force so they couldn't punch him. He is tne fifth grade. Also, they still annoy him when he is with friends, and if no other options, i will ask the governer to come and talk because i know him.

  1. There IS a law about bullying. It's called, "zero tolerance".  People have been commiting suicide, bringing in weapons, etc. because of bullying.

You need to contact the police or any authority. They have to stop the bullying or you can sue the parents and the school if they don't take any action. You need to threaten the school AND the parents if they don't do anything!!

  2. if your son dosent want you to do anything about it then let it go! however if this bully is physically hurting your child and leaves any scatch or bruise on him take him to the drs and then take care of the situation legally.maybe if his parents have to pay one of your dr bills theyll take this more seriously.

  3. Bullying IS against the law.

  4. Disorderly conduct -cursing

terroristic threats-threaten to cause bodily harm

  5. Welcome to the world :(

  6. Seems like " bullying" is an ongoing thing everywhere. I don't think there is a law against it. Your son probably is at the age where he cant be a " rat" and that's why he doesn't want anyone to say anything. Maybe you should speak with the parents, or the school and see what happens from that. I feel bad for your son. Kids that bully can say some mean and hateful things that stick with kids for a lifetime.

  7. OK you need to get tough about this it is not going to go away . get names call a meeting with the punks their parents the principle and if available a school resource officer (our schools have them) and get the bottom of it --if nothing resolved press legal charges and stick to your guns . your job is to protect your child no matter what it takes!!
