Laxmi Ratan Shukla delighted to see KKR in the finals – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Laxmi-Shukla-c1829, Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) all-rounder, is over the moon that his franchise has qualified for the final of the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also claimed that controversies will not hurt the reputation of the tournament.
The all-rounder from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in 1999 but failed to cement his place in the national team. Shukla has been a prolific performer in the domestic cricket of the country and has an impressive record with both bat
and ball.
The right-handed aggressive batsman has been an integral part of KKR since the last five seasons. The franchise failed to make a big impression in the initial four editions of the tournament, despite all the hype and glamour attached with the team
However, things have changed for the franchise as it has already made it to the final of the on-going season and will face either http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils or Chennai Super Kings in the deciding fixture on May 27th, 2012.
Shukla has gone through all the rough times with the team and this is the reason why he feels immense satisfaction at making it to the last two of the tournament. The all-rounder was dropped for some matches in the current season but like a true team-man,
he is just concerned about the progress of his side.
The 31-year-old cricketer said, “You bet, I am. It's an amazing feeling. After slogging for all these years, we have made it to the finals. Since my team is on a winning spree right now, it doesn't make sense talking about all this. Grievances don't really
help. It gets you nothing at the end of the day and I feel it's futile to hold a grudge.”
The middle-order batsman played a vital cameo of 24 unbeaten runs of just 11 balls in the play-off encounter against the Daredevils.
Shukla further added that the wrong-doings of some individuals should not be used to defame the cash-rich league.
“See nothing has been proved till now. For the actions of a few people, you cannot really blame the entire system or simply ban the IPL,” he added.
