Lay Time favourite for Princess Elizabeth Stakes (Sponsored By Investec) (Group 3) (Fillies & Mares)
Lay Time is tipped to win the Princess Elizabeth Stakes (Sponsored By Investec) (Group 3) (Fillies & Mares) at Epsom in England on Friday, June 1, 2012. The winner of the class-1 event will be awarded a cash prize of £31,191.
The going will be good in the 1 mile 114 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 13:40 GMT, and a total of eight runners will be seen in action in it. Their names are as follows: Barefoot Lady, Boastful, Clinical, Joviality, Lay Time, Navarra Queen, Night
Lily and Valencha.
Considering the recent form of Lay Time, it appears that she will walk away with a comfortable victory in the race. She does not have much experience, but that will not matter a lot in the end. The punters will definitely be interested in placing a lot of
bets in favour of her today.
The four-year-old filly has entered five races in her career so far and has managed to win a couple of them. In addition to that, she has also secured the runner up position once, which shows that she is fully capable of fight at the front.
The Andrew Balding’s trainee started her career in a nice way, as she finished fifth in her first ever outing. There were a total of 18 runners in that race, so her performance was not bad by any means.
In her most recent outing, the Andrew Balding’s trainee did an excellent job, as she finished on top of the table comfortably by a distance of three and a half lengths. She was not rated as favourite to win back then, but stunned one and all with her skills.
A similar run is expected from Lay Time in today’s race as well. She will be accompanied by veteran jockey, Jimmy Fortune, who is in decent form and has won numerous events at this level.
However, things will not be easy for Lay Time, as she will be given a tough time by Boastful, as she is also carrying the winning momentum right now. She has won thrice out of 14 attempts and was victorious in her most recent run.
Other than the victories, the four-year-old filly has finished runner up on four times whereas took the third spot thrice.
