I wasnt sure if I could make the chocolate cake, and then slice it into cubes for a layer... or Ive seen some recipes use brownies, and you slice/cube that for a layer.

  1. Brownies! =]

  2. Chocolate cake is a classic, and excellent with chocolate frosting between the layers.

  3. try using both??

  4. Brownies - yummo!

edit------ nope - don't even know who she is!

  5. If I were going to make a layered dessert, I'd use a "pound cake recipe" or "brownie recipe" because you need something that is FIRM not TOO SOFT.

The more textures you use the more you and your guests will enjoy the taste and feel in the mouth. For example, vanilla yogurt, fresh sweetened peaches, Post blueberry morning cereal and whipped cream layered in a tall glass.

    Hope this helps.

  6. either or brownies are excellent cut like asandwhich and put cream cheese in between yummy

  7. You should use brownies, lots of people will really like the chewiness of the brownies. Don't get me wrong, I love cake, but I prefer brownies

  8. It depends on how heavy you want your dessert.  Brownies will be richer and heavier, cake will be (a little) lighter.  Either one you choose, I would freeze it before you cube it to make it easier to cut.
