Layering Hair. How short is too short?

Question

For long hair that is about few inches passed collar bone, would short layers about ear length be too short? Even if the rest of the hair is layered?

Razored is when your hair is layered and the layers are sorta random lengths at the right places. :D

it's not too short if you're willing to try it. It would be pretty edgy and stuff and I think it would be cool but also you would have to keep it like that and be sure you want it because otherwise you will be stuck with it til it grows out. you should just ask for a few hairs to be cut that short and you can tell the hairstylist how short the shortest you want the layers is.

yeah too short. it will look like you have extensions on. unless you have layes everywhere then it might look okay but if its like three layers or something it will look bad.
